Wease Halloran, PLC - Michigan and Federal Tax Law, Michigan Probate and Michigan Estate Planning

Our attorneys have broad and diverse backgrounds both within and outside the practice of law. By focusing on outstanding client service, superior legal work and community involvement, we are dedicated to providing an atmosphere that encourages you to pursue your definition of success — both inside and outside the office.

Our people have made Wease Halloran a premier law firm commanding the respect that much larger firms might claim. They have also given our firm a close-knit collegiality that you would expect from a small, local firm.

Our externship program is designed to provide law students with an experience that mirrors the life of a first-year associate. You will experience the day-to-day working life of a tax lawyer.

Upon arrival, you will be assigned to a partner, who will be responsible for assigning work, providing feedback, introducing the other team members and ensuring that your experience resembles that of a first-year associate. Our externship associates gain valuable hands-on experience working directly for, and with, our clients.

Our externs and associates receive a traditional training program and mentoring, both of which are practical, substantive and designed to prepare and support our associates. Training areas include state and local taxation, federal taxation, federal and state litigation practice and trial technology.

The application process is competitive. Preference is given to those students with an accounting or tax background, experience or course work.

We accept applications on a rolling basis. Send a copy of your resume, transcript, and a writing sample to:
